Is this suitable for complete beginners with zero German?

• Yes — this is the right starting point. The Präsens is the first tense you need in German, and the presentation assumes no prior knowledge. Every concept is introduced from scratch with clear explanations in English.

What exactly will I be able to do after completing this?

• You'll be able to talk about daily routines, describe what you and others do, form questions, use modal verbs (can, must, want to…), and handle separable and reflexive verbs — the core of everyday German conversation.

Why are there so many verb types in German? Is it really that complicated?
